This document describes an architecture for monitoring process IT (PIT) environments. It was developed as part of a project started by E.ON Group to support the DSOs within the group in procuring PIT security monitoring software and services. ENCS has supported E.ON in this project. The project’s objectives were to describe the possible architectures for PIT security monitoring, to give insight into the market for monitoring software, and to provide requirements to procure monitoring software and services.
The architecture in this document is meant to support the other activities in the project, in particular the market analysis and the development of requirements, by providing a common structure.
