Member project on substation automation security completed

ENCS has completed the member project on substation automation security. The  deliverables are available to ENCS members on the document portal.

The project started in 2018. The aim was to help ENCS members improve the security of their high-voltage substations. The project resulted in:

• A risk assessment
• A security architecture
• Security requirements to procure:
  • Substation gateways
  • IEDs and protection relays
  • HMI software
• Use cases to monitor substation security
• Security policies for substations

This year, ENCS will run member projects on:

• Information security management
• Procuring secure equipment
