Just like in previous years, ENCS is organizing a series of webinars to keep you up to date on cybersecurity developments at the EU level that will affect grid operators and to introduce you to new topics we have been working on in our programs. During the webinars, ENCS will present a topic and, if attendees want to ask any questions or discuss something, they will have the opportunity to do so.
The webinars are held every Wednesday at 11:00 CEST. Each is an hour long and is open to ENCS members only. The table below shows the schedule for the upcoming webinars. ENCS members can find more information below. Please, contact info@encs.eu to register.
| Date | Webinar | Description |
|---|---|---|
| 21 January 2026 | Post-quantum cryptography (3) | In this third session of the series, we return to the contrast between theory and practice: on paper, quantum computing creates significant security threats for grid operators. In reality, the technology is still taking its first steps and faces major implementation challenges, even if innovation is rapidly pushing it forward. Building on the previous parts of the series, we will now examine how these threats can be addressed through post-quantum cryptographic algorithms. |
| 4 February 2026 | Product regulation update (1) | During this webinar, which continues our series of regulatory update sessions, we will provide an update on the ongoing standardization work for the harmonized standards of the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) developed by CEN/CENELEC and ETSI. In this context, ENCS has prepared a CRA roadmap for TSOs and DSOs and, since 2026, has participated in the standardization groups developing the standards for hardware devices with security boxes and for smart meter gateways. We will share the latest developments from these efforts during the session. |
| 18 February 2026 | Securely virtualizing and containerizing substation assets | This webinar will deep dive in the insights of the whitepaper on secure virtualization and containerization in substations that was written in 2025. It will also provide an update on how ENCS specifications and training materials are being updated based on these insights. |
| 4 March 2026 | AI (3) | This webinar is the follow-up of two previous webinars about AI, in which we look into how grid operators are both using AI in a secure way while protecting against threats empowered by it. |
| 18 March 2026 | SOC skills and resources | This webinar will deep dive in the insights of the whitepaper on SOC skills and resources that was written in 2025. It will also provide an update on how ENCS specifications and training materials are being updated based on these insights. |
| 1 April 2026 | IoT testing | Regular update on European regulations. We follow the implementation of tThere has been growing attention for the cybersecurity risks of high power consumer IoT devices. When vulnerabilities affect not just individual devices but entire cloud platforms that control them, the impact can be immense. In this webinar, we discuss insights from our consumer IoT testing program and the risks of vulnerabilities in both devices and cloud. We provide a general overview of the possible impact, particularly in relation to the amount of power under control, the most common issues found in these IoT ecosystems, as well as the vulnerabilities that have already been successfully fixed. |
| 15 April 2026 | Securely connecting OT assets with IT and the Internet | This webinar will deep dive in the insights of the whitepaper on securely connecting OT with external networks that was written in 2025. It will also provide an update on how ENCS specifications and training materials are being updated based on these insights. |
| 29 April 2026 | Securely connecting OT assets with external grid systems | TBA |
| 13 May 2026 | Product regulation update (2) | During this webinar, which continues our series of regulatory update sessions, we will provide an update on the ongoing standardization work for the harmonized standards of the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) developed by CEN/CENELEC and ETSI. In this context, ENCS has prepared a CRA roadmap for TSOs and DSOs and, since 2026, has participated in the standardization groups developing the standards for hardware devices with security boxes and for smart meter gateways. We will share the latest developments from these efforts during the session. |
| 27 May 2026 | Experiences with using MISP | TBA |
