Governance

ENCS is a non-profit that is owned by its full members. Full members determine ENCS’s strategy through the General Assembly, Assembly Committee, Management Board, and Strategy Assembly.

General assembly

Each member has a seat in the General Assembly. Together, our members define and approve yearly security programs, determine priorities for developing services, approve budgets and appoint representatives for the Assembly Committee and directors for the Management Board.

Assembly Committee

The Assembly Committee is made up of the 5 representatives chosen by the General Assembly. They meet three times per year to supervise operations and support the Management Board.

Management Board

The directors on the Management Board are appointed by the ENCS General Assembly. They supervise the daily operations of ENCS.

Strategic Advisory Board

ENCS boasts an independent Strategic Advisory Board with seasoned executives. The ENCS management board can request them to provide advice on the strategic planning and decision-making process. Furthermore, members of the Strategic Advisory Board act as ambassadors at the request of the ENCS Management Board. As ambassadors, they develop and strengthen relationships with important ENCS stakeholder groups, in particular E.DSO and ENTSO-E and their members.

The Strategic Advisory Board doesn’t interfere with formal ENCS decision making by the ENCS General Assembly, the Assembly Committee and the Management Board.
